It was absolutely amazing, everything we could have asked for. The resort was beautiful. We loved each and every one of our excursions. We talked to a lot of people that went to the blue hole while they were out there. It sounded like a lot of fun. We talked about doing it, but just ran out of time.
Our first night we got settled in, did some exploring and watched the show. They had a steel Drum band.
The next day we had our excursion at mystic mountain, the sky ride, bobsled and zipline. We really loved this one. There was a pool, waterslide, and hummingbird garden that were included. Everything was fun, but the zipline was my favorite. I would definitely recommend this for someone looking for a fun adventure. We also checked out the rabbit hole this night. It was our favorite bar to go to. I think we went almost every night lol. We made friends with one of the bartenders, Kamare, he was amazing! They had fun music, good drinks, it was a cool vibe.
Monday we ended up renting a private cabana at the hillside pool. It came with a private butler and massage. It was really nice to just relax and enjoy our day. I talked to one of the maintenance guys can and he climbed up a tree, cut down some coconuts for us, and filled them with rum lol. It was very unique.
Tuesday, we had our catamaran cruise to Dunns river. This was absolutely packed, but SO much fun!! This was by far our favorite thing on the trip, and would highly recommend it. We did not know that, and maybe I didn't read all about it, but we got to snorkeling on our way to Dunns. Then we got to Dunns and hiked up the river. After that, there was booze and food on the boat. We got to eat, and party the whole time. We sat in the front of the boat, and rode against the waves all the way back. We got soaking wet. Once we docked back at the resort it was a full on party inside the boat. Anyone that doesn't like to drink and party would not enjoy this, lol but we do and loved it. So much fun!! We needed a nap after haha.
Wednesday morning we found out they do a mini snorkeling excursion to a ship wreck a few miles from the resort. It was $25 per person and totally worth it. We took a glass bottom boat out there and got to snorkel for like 45 minutes over the ship wreck and reef. When we got back from this we did all the water sports, water trike, paddle board, sail boat, ect. We loved the sail boat, one of the water sports guys took us out just the two of it. It was really fun.
Thursday, we had our dolphin cove excursion. That was also super fun. In addition to the dolphin swim we got to swim with sting rays and some some big sharks. They had parrots, love birds, a snake, and a lizard we got to hold. I would also recommend this one. It was a little pricey, and we bought the pictures which were also expensive. But when else do you get to swim with dolphins!! That night we also had the big New Year's Eve party at the pool. Lots of fun!
Friday, we went golfing. Well, I went golfing and Kaylin came to drive the cart. I'm a big golfer so I really enjoyed that. The rest of the day we finished up some souvenir shopping, and went back to some of our favorite spots. We also had our beach dinner that night. It was absolutely amazing and was well worth the money. Such a romantic experience, we really enjoyed it as well.
Saturday we had our long travel day back home. We were so glad we did club mobay. Departure lounge was 100% better than the arrival, but having the help when we got off the plane was very nice in an unfamiliar place. Leaving we had a few delays so it was great to have the lounge to hang out in. Have some food and drinks. Also we were able to monitor our flight from the lounge. Well worth the money and I am so glad you talked me into it.
I think we did either the beach or the pool pretty much every day. There were so many different locations, we tried all of them. The water was perfect, so clear and cool. The sun wasn't too hot. I think it was around 75 all day every day. Couldn't have asked for much more. We loved how there were so many little spots to explore and just hang out in. Even the last day we found a little corner of the resort that we hadn't seen the previous day's.
As far as the food, we ended up eating at every restaurant but one. A few of the nights we ate a double dinner lol. Kelly's dockside was really cool, right on the water. The Italian place, valentino's was really good. We ate at the jerk shack I think 6 times haha. We loved the jerk chicken. The manor had carribean food, we had a good meal there. Also, the best thing I ate was a lamb shank at le gourmand, the French place.
Again, we could not have been happier. It was such an amazing trip and cannot thank you enough for your time and help. I have attached some of our favorite photos for you to look at. I think we have over 1,600 total lol. But it should give a high level view of our wonderful trip. I hope this info helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions. Coming back to reality was not easy, and we are ready to go back!!
